Our Providers

All of our providers are board certified and proud members of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Monti founded this practice over 25 years ago. He has been a fixture in medicine in Rhode Island for several decades and has taken care of generations of families in Cumberland. He is a graduate of Georgetown Medical School and Providence College.
Dr O'Shea has been practicing with P.R.I.M.A. Pediatrics for over 20 years. She is a graduate of Brown University School of Medicine and the residency program of Hasbro Children's Hospital.

Maria Z. Starakiewicz, M.D.

Dr. Starakiewicz has been with P.R.I.M.A. Pediatrics for over 15 years. She is a graduate of Jagiellonian Univeristy in Krakow, Poland. She originally did her residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in neonatology there. She completed her pediatric residency here at the University of Connecticut. She speaks both English and Polish.

Pranati Jha, M.D.

  

Dr. Jha joined P.R.I.M.A. Pediatrics in January 2015. She is a graduate of Calcutta Medical College in India. She completed her pediatrics residency at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. She also underwent three years of fellowship training in pediatric endocrinology (medical subspecialty of hormone disorders such as, growth, puberty and thyroid) at Cincinnati Children's Medical Center in Ohio. Dr. Jha practices both general pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology at P.R.I.M.A. Pediatrics. She speaks English, Hindi and Bengali.   

Carrie Roy, FNP-BC

Carrie earned a masters of science degree in Nursing from Chamberlain University, (Chicago, IL) and is a Board Certified family Nurse Practitioner. Carrie has over 25 years hospital RN experience in womans health, labor & delivery, and pediatrics.
Carrie believes the patient family-provider relationship is a partnership on trust and teamwork. She takes extra time to listen and educate patients and familes on how to achieve a healthy life style.
