Our Providers

All of our providers are board certified and proud members of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Monti founded this practice over 20 years ago. He has been a fixture in medicine in Rhode Island for several decades and has taken care of generations of families in Cumberland. He is a graduate of Georgetown Medical School and Providence College.
Dr O'Shea has been practicing with P.R.I.M.A. Pediatrics for over 10 years. She is a graduate of Brown University School of Medicine and the residency program of Hasbro Children's Hospital.

Maria Z. Starakiewicz, M.D.

Dr. Starakiewicz has been with P.R.I.M.A. Pediatrics for over 10 years. She is a graduate of Jagiellonian Univeristy in Krakow, Poland. She originally did her residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in neonatology there. She completed her pediatric residency here at the University of Connecticut. She speaks both English and Polish.

Pranati Jha, M.D.

Dr. Jha joined P.R.I.M.A. Pediatrics in January 2015. She is a graduate of Calcutta Meidcal Colledge in India. She completed her pediatrics residency in Albany, NY and also underwent three years of additional training in pediatric endocrinology at Cincinnati Children's Medical Center in Ohio. Dr. Jha practices both general pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology (diabetes, disorders of growth, puberty, thyroid, cholesterol, and other hormone disorders) at P.R.I.M.A. Pediatrics. She speaks English, Hindi and Bengali. 

Keelin Walsh, P.A.-C.

Keelin is very excited to have recently joined P.R.I.M.A Pediatrics in November 2015! She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Quinnipiac University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science Studies and graduated in 2015 with a Master of Health Science, Physician Assistant Program. Keelin recently moved to Rhode Island from Connecticut where she was also practicing general pediatrics in a private practice. She enjoys all aspects of general pediatrics and will be seeing both sick and well patients. Keelin has a special interest in childhood obesity, nutrition and exercise.
